About the Campaign
The San Diego Sun partnered with Karl Strauss Brewing Company to promote the launch of their Follow the Sun summer lager while also growing the Sun’s email subscriber base.
The Challenge
The San Diego Sun wanted to increase its email subscriber base while also helping Karl Strauss generate excitement around the release of their new summer lager called Follow the Sun.
The goal was to create a campaign that would engage the local San Diego community, encourage social sharing, and convert that attention into newsletter subscribers.

From animation to on location storytelling, each video was crafted with platform friendly runtimes, unified branding, and a clear call to action: sign up for The San Diego Sun’s free newsletter and enter to win a $25 Karl Strauss gift card.
All videos were supported by chatbot automation to capture leads and engage commenters in real time combining creativity with smart strategy to drive measurable growth.
